Discover the Art of making Kalguksu
Step into the heart of Korean home cooking and learn how to make Kalguksu, traditional Korean knife-cut wheat noodles made completely by hand. This comforting noodle dish is known as a popular and heartwarming Korean dish featuring handmade wheat noodles, served in a rich comforting broth and finished with delicious traditional toppings.
Workshop Highlights:
1. Welcome & Introduction
- Learn about the origin, culture, and regional variations of Kalguksu
- Discover the ingredients used in Korean wheat noodle dough
- Introduction to traditional Korean noodle-making tools, including the knife-cutting technique
2. Hands-on techniques
- Prepare and knead wheat dough from scratch
- Roll and fold dough
- Learn the signature knife-cutting technique to create authentic Kalguksu noodles
3. Tasting & Sharing
- Cook your handmade noodles in a traditional Korean broth
- Enjoy warm bowls of Kalguksu (different dishes) featuring your own noodle creations
- Share your culinary experience with fellow participants
4. Q&A and Game
